VERONICA PEDROSA is probably best known for her work as a journalist, reporting and presenting at Al Jazeera English, CNN, BBC World and BBC World Service.  Exiled from the Philippines because of her mother’s unauthorized biography of the former First Lady Imelda Marcos, Veronica grew up in London and studied English at Newnham College, Cambridge University.  Like Neruda, she sees no gap between politics and poetry.  This poem is for her angry dissident half.
