LUO HUI has pursued literary studies in China, the United States and Canada. Currently a lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington, he writes miscellaneous prose and plays in a local band. His translations of contemporary Chinese poetry have appeared in journals and anthologies in many parts of the world.

Luo Hui is the translator of Zheng Danyi's Wings of Summer and contributed translations to the collection accompanying Zheng's essay, Modern Chinese Poetry: Insistent Voices, in ALR No. 18.
