JEMIMAH STEINFELD holds an MA in Chinese from SOAS at the University of London. She has worked in Shanghai and Beijing, writing on a wide range of topics, with gender and sexuality being a particular focus. 

Her work has appeared in a variety of publications, including The Guardian, The Telegraph and CNN. She currently works at Asia House running their literature programme.


'From Mao to Mohawks' will be published in the next issue of the Asia Literary Review.
