Kate Rogers has had poetry published in anthologies and literary magazines in Canada, the U.S., England, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Kate's poetry has appeared in Fifty-Fifty: New Hong Kong Writing; the Asia Literary Review, Cha, Dimsum, Pressed, the Seek It and Crave It anthologies published by Toronto's Red Claw Press, Many Mountains Moving, Dream Catcher, The New Quarterly, Contemporary Verse II, Canadian Women's Studies, The Mad Woman in the Academy and Orbis International, among other journals. Kate has been short-listed twice for the Winston Collins Best Canadian Poem Prize by Toronto literary journal Descant. Her most recent poetry collection, City of Stairs (Haven 2012), debuted in Hong Kong and Toronto. Her latest poetry collection, Foreign Skin, will be published in Toronto in the summer of 2015.
With Madeleine Slavick and Vaughan Rapatahana, Kate is co-editor of OutLoud Too (mccm 2014), the second anthology of poetry by Hong Kong’s longest running spoken word collective. She is also co-editor of the anthology Not A Muse: the Inner Lives of Women (Haven 2009), with Viki Holmes. Not A Muse made its international debut at the AWP (American Writers and Writing Programs) conference in April 2010 and features poets from 24 countries.
